This Christmas, office party organisers can enjoy a carbon-conscious Christmas party or festive lunch at a Venues Collection property.
The Carbon Conscious Christmas package includes ethically sourced ingredients and Red Tractor Assured turkey. Each meal is carbon measured and labeled, and wasteful traditional crackers have been replaced with a digital e-cracker party prize draw – keeping the fun and surprise of the occasion but without the plastic and paper waste associated with traditional Christmas crackers.
Joanne Barratt, Managing Director, The Venues Collection said: “Christmas celebrations are often associated with lots of excess and waste, so we have kept the fun, the great food and the celebration but reduced the carbon and the waste. Last year we made some subtle but impactful changes to our Christmas meals to reduce the carbon emissions. This resulted in a traditional celebration meal that has less than one third of the emissions associated with the average UK Christmas meal*. Christmas is a lovely time of fun and celebration, and can be fully enjoyed whilst still being carbon-conscious.”
The Christmas celebrations on offer at The Venues Collection properties include private or joiner Christmas party nights or festive lunches. All guests have the option of booking overnight accommodation at a discounted rate.
*The Venues Collection Christmas meal is 0.5Kg CO2e against an average meal of 1.6kg CO2e
